Valentine Soirée for Two
In celebration of Valentine’s day, I had the privilege of collaborating with some amazing female business owners on a creative project! In this moment in time, where staying in is the new norm, we wanted to turn another night at home into a special moment to share with a loved one. We set the scene for a whimsical & romantic evening for 2, cozying up with candles and pillows by the fireplace… seems like the perfect night to me!
We created a space that feels frivolous and fun, styled using vintage pieces from my home decor collection Living by Cami Studio. The stunning Victorian mantle, which was salvaged from a job site, created the perfect romantic backdrop. This pair of post-modern marbled pink tables, which may be my all-time favourite find, will be up for sale soon, I had to immortalize them in these images forever before letting them go!
Date night isn’t complete without dessert, so I decided to give cake decorating a go and made this kitschy vintage inspired heart-shaped cake. For simplicity I baked a store bought mix and stacked 2 layers, using this cake pan from Micheals. Finally I decorated it with the help of many youtube tutorials, this was one that I found helpful to learn new piping techniques, and don’t forget the crumb coat ;)
What’s better than balloons to kick it up a notch and declare that this is a party?! I collaborated with my good friend Jessy, planner at Stori Events. She has just launched Belloon, a new balloon arrangement company and she created this gorgeous chandelier style installation hanging from the ceiling.
Wild North flowers, a favourite florist of mine, who also happens to be my new studio neighbour, were kind enough to create artful arrangements that added the drama I was craving! Wild North steers away from the traditional imported roses and uses solely locally grown blooms, supporting our local Ontario farmers!
